What feature/things would you like to see offered in an online weight loss support group?

What would motivate you? What would you want to see posted? What could the moderator provide to give you the best feedback? Do you want to see graphs? Charts? Nutritional information? Recipes? Motivational posts? New ideas? Would you want to be able to ask personal questions? Would you like one-on-one consultations? What if we offered this for free .. just to help those struggling with weight loss? How would you search for this? Would you like to see more than one approach to weight loss? Would you want to see exercises? Would you be interested in various supplements (vitamins, etc) that may help nutritionally? Please share your ideas. Finally, would you be interested in hearing of such a group if we finalize the plans to do so? Started my weight loss at 330 and am currently at 208 … have 35-42 lbs to go … and would like to help others attain success. Thank you for your time and feedback.

Sounds like a good idea. Some good things would be advice on exercising and foods to eat. Links to websites that can help people track calories in foods and calories lost for various exercises. Supplements would be vastly useful, as well as stories of success or good ideas for getting movitated.

Do hospitals have weight loss programs monitored by professionals?

And do heath insurances cover them?

My mother is over 50 years old and over 100 lbs over weight. She has also had 2 injuries to her knees in the past that prevent her from doing many exercises.

I know there are weight loss surgeries but I would like to encourage her to lose weight through exercise.

1) do hospitals provide weight loss programs where the patients can exercise there with supervision?

2) are there insurances that cover this?

I’m not sure what insurance my mom has but she has had the same one for many, many years through her work.

i need to stay inspired about things like weight loss, work, friends, and a good clean life but lately ive been ruining myself by just saying “psshhh whats the point?” so please!!! inspire me!!!! give me some inspirational words to go by when im down! thank you

What are some easy Lunch-Box options?

I like sandwhiches, but I have to bag every ingredient seperatly or it turns into a soggy mess. The individual ingredients still get soggy. Any way to prevent this?

Rather than sandwiches, try oil-based pasta salads (the oil will hold up and not spoil as mayo would). You can use a whole-wheat pasta and add tons of veggies, lean meat, whatever you like. Homemade vinaigrettes are very easy to make.

As for your sandwiches getting soggy, it is recommended that you apply a layer of fat to the bread before loading the sandwich, such as mayo, as it creates a barrier between the bread and the moist items. Also, use a hearty, crusty bread, like ciabatta, which is more durable.

Or someone has and she hasn’t listened. Size 0 is a big issue i think nowadays. Especially as little girls as young as 7 are saying things like ‘I want my thighs the same size as my ankles, that’s beautiful’ its wrong. I’m a uk size 6-8 i used to be 10, but I still have curves the right curves. I know all my male friends would not look twice at her, maybe just to laugh or look in disgust =S. Sorry but its true.
